Homeowners who fail to submit their Local Property Tax return before 7th November will face penalties.
Revenue will issue fines of up to €3,000 to property owners who miss this week's crucial deadline.
Over one million individuals have yet to file their tax returns.
So, if you're among those who still need reminding, these are the three essential steps to complete:
1. Determine the valuation band of their property as of November 1, 2025.
2. Submit their LPT Return, including the valuation band, by Friday, November 7, 2025.
3. Pay, or make arrangements to pay, the LPT charge for 2026.
Manager of Revenue's LPT Branch, Katie Clair, said: "The level of returns filed to date is encouraging, with over 550,000 returns filed to date.
"However, I urge any property owner who has not yet thought about their LPT for 2026 to do so now. When submitting your LPT return, you will be asked to make arrangements to pay your LPT charge for 2026. There are several payment options available, and property owners can pick the one which suits them best," per The Irish Mirror.
Revenue is also able to recover the debt by instructing employers to deduct the LPT directly from wages, or even by deducting it from social welfare or pension payments.
The easiest way for homeowners to submit their LPT return is through the LPT portal, which can be accessed through myAccount or ROS.
Previously, there were some technical issues involving the LPT portal, however, constant checks are now in place to immediately address any technical problems that arise.
Commenting on the situation, Katie Clair said: "The number of returns filed to date, and particularly over the past few days alone, demonstrates that there are no widespread issues with the LPT portal. We do, however, understand the concern individual taxpayers may experience if they have difficulties filing their return.
"The issues identified to date have now been resolved, and almost 10,000 returns have been successfully submitted through the LPT portal since the fix was deployed this morning.
"However, if you experience any difficulties using the LPT portal or filing your return, you can call our LPT helpline on 01 738 3626, and our operators will assist you. Property owners can be assured that Revenue will continue to monitor functionality of our systems in the final days leading up to the filing deadline, as we do in the case of all significant return filing dates."
