What a great idea.

This Christmas, it’s easy to get caught up in the hype and glamorous festivities that go along with the season but it’s important to remember the real reason why we celebrate it.

Christmas is the time of giving and kindness, not just in the sense of presents from Santa or for the recipient of your Kris Kindle present, but to help out the less fortunate than us.

One bar in Kerry has set a stellar example of announcing that they’ll be offering free Christmas dinners to elderly people, the homeless and families in need.

Connie K’s of Rathmore in Kerry is ensuring that everyone in the local area will get their share of a hot Christmas dinner, telling their customers in a Facebook post to call in with any queries on their phone number.

The bar wrote why they were offering dinners to those in need this Christmas:

“I recently spoke to a lady only a few steps away from my front door and after a brief emotional chat as she was very upset, i was shocked to learn of the struggle she and her family faced on a daily basis in our locality.
To provide even the most basic things like food & Clothing she seemed to be dreading the thought of Christmas. We read and hear about these things every day but sometimes we dont realise how close to home people are affected.

WE @ CONNIE Ķ’S ARE OFFERING FREE CHRISTMAS DINNER TO EVERYONE IN NEED.
