Singer Dolores O’Riordan will be laid to rest today.
Hers is a loss that has resonated with Irish people and music fans around the world so it’s only fitting that Irish radio commemorates her in some way.
All independent radio stations and 2FM will simultaneously play 1996 single When You’re Gone by the Cranberries at 12 noon today as a mark of respect to the singer.
2FM announced the news on Twitter, calling it a “fitting tribute… to one of our greatest singers ever.”
