Irish Rail and DART services not running this weekend between Dalkey and Greystones

Irish Rail and DART services will not run between Dalkey and Greystones this weekend.

The services will be suspended until Monday morning due to a fire in a signalling room in Bray.

Irish Rail said today:

“Update: Dalkey to Greystones will remain closed for at least the remainder of weekend due to signalling equipment fire damage at Bray.

“No DARTs between Dalkey and Greystones: Dublin Bus accepting rail tickets, customers advised to transfer at Dun Laoghaire.”

The fire broke out last night at around 11.30pm in the signalling room.

Irish Rail says that the extent of the damage means that services cannot safely resume until this time.

“Due to the extent of damage, services will not be restored until Monday morning at the earliest,” they said.

The fire is not thought to be suspicious.
