A 45 year old Irish tourist has sadly died after he fell from a moving train in Thailand.
According to the Associated Press news agency, the man was travelling through the western part of the country when the incident occurred.
Local police have claimed he was travelling with a tour group from Bangkok by rail and it is understood that he had been in Thailand since St. Stephen’s Day on a tourist visa.
The Department of Foreign Affairs has said it is aware of the death of an Irish national in Thailand and is ready to provide consular assistance.
