We’re delighted to hear that the Irish Women’s 4x400m relay team has qualified for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
The Journal.ie reported that the qualification period for the men’s and women’s 4x100m and 4x400m relays ended yesterday.
The Irish Women’s 4x400 team has been named as one of sixteen qualifying teams and is in thirteenth place behind Italy.
The IAAF nominated Joanne Cuddihy, Michell Carey, Claire Bergin, Marian Heffernan, Jessie Barr and Catriona Cuddihy.
We can’t wait to see these ladies in action and we hope that they bring home the gold!
