Carl Kinsella

According to the Majorca Daily Bulletin, an Irishman was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning when he was struck by a car.

The incident occurred on the Calle Pinada, which is a five minute drive from popular tourist spot Magaluf. It was reported that the driver of the car was arrested on the scene, and tested positive for drugs and alcohol (cocaine). Police in Spain are now working to establish whether the deceased man was a tourist or a resident.

The victim is believed to be around 40 years of age.

However, it has also been reported that Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs is yet to be contacted about the incident. The deceased has not been named publicly.
