Jamie Oliver’s restaurant business is preparing to enter administration.

The celebrity chef’s chain of Jamie’s Italian restaurants is the latest casual dining spot in the UK to file for insolvency after others have been forced into closures and restructures.

Sky News reports that up to 1,300 jobs are at risk as a result of the administration.

This includes 25 Jamie’s Italian outlets, plus the Fifteen and Barbecoa restaurants across the UK.

Last year, 12 of Jamie’s Italian restaurants closed leading to 450 job losses. At the time, the celebrity chef blamed Brexit for the closures, citing poor trading conditions and the weakened pound sterling.

The business has appointed KPMG as administrator. More details are expected to be announced later today.
