Author JK Rowling has reached out to one of the young girls injured in the balcony tragedy in Berkeley this Tuesday while the student recovers in hospital.
Clodagh Colgey, who is a big fan of the Harry Potter series, is currently listening to audio tapes of her favourite collection while she recuperates, and her brother wanted to do something to help lift her spirits.
Following his appeal to author JK Rowling, Clodagh received a pretty special message:
Wishing Clodagh Cogley a very speedy recovery and sending much love to her, her friends and family xxx

Friends of Clodagh thanked the author for sending the kind words, with one responding to the tweet:
@jk_rowling Her little face lit up when we told her about this. Thank you so much — Caragh Dogley (@dcogleey) June 19, 2015
Clodagh survived the tragic incident which claimed the lives of six Irish students earlier this week, thanks to the quick thinking of Jack Halpin, who was also hurt.
