As if we didn’t think she was awesome already, comedian Jo Brand has taken a stand for Irish women’s rights by wearing a Repeal jumper with pride.
Brand was spotted by Irish Times writer Roisín Ingle at WOW London, a global movement and festival celebrating women and girls, held at the Southbank Centre.
Reminding self: I met @iamjobrand today, a woman I’ve admired for years. She’s as generous, mouthy and funny as you’d imagine.????#WOWLDN pic.twitter.com/kJbnzHMQiE

No stranger to speaking out when an issue matters to her, the comedian, actress and writer was a psychiatric nurse before she found her niche in stand-up comedy.
As patron of the National Self Harm Network (NSHN), International Animal Rescue, and the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association, as well as president of the Ectopic Pregnancy Trust, Brand is an outspoken ambassador for a number of causes that are close to her heart and a supporter of the Women’s Equality Party.
Are you keen to get your hands on a Repeal jumper? They relaunch online on April 23rd, hitting pop-up shops all over Ireland a month later.
