Joanne O’Riordan has been named as the Grand Marshall of this year’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin.
The 19-year old is the youngest person to ever lead the celebrations, saying she was “extremely honoured and delighted” to take on the role.
Joanne is one of only seven people in the world who were born with no limbs.
The inspiring teenager shot to fame after her brother Steven decided to make a documentary about her life, telling the story of how her parents found out about Joanne’s condition and how Joanne has managed to adapt so brilliantly.
Known for her warm, chatty demeanor, the ‘No Limbs, No Limits’ star excitedly tweeted her news, writing:

Studying criminology at UCC, the 19-year old was awarded the prestigious Junior Chamber International (JCI) Outstanding Young Person of the Year award in August.
