The Person of the Year is usually an individual, but multiple people who greatly affected the US and the world have been named. The honour, which was first awarded in 1927, was last year awarded to its youngest ever winner - teenage climate activist, Greta Thunberg. In other honours, Time magazine named the Korean pop group BTS as its Entertainer of the Year. LeBron James, who helped the LA Lakers to the NBA title this year, as well as being a vocal advocate for racial and social justice, was crowned Athlete of the Year.
