Jogger stabs man multiple times after he tries to grope her

A jogger stabbed a man multiple times after he tried to grope her.

The unnamed woman was jogging in Salt Lake City when a man appeared from behind her and tried to grope her. The woman then stabbed the man multiple times with a knife. She told police that she always brings a blade with her when she goes for her morning run to be "prepared." Local news station KUTV reported that after being stabbed, the man then fled to a bus stop. The woman, who is in her 40s, tried to chase him but she eventually gave up and went to the police station. Detective Greg Wilking told KUTV that when the woman goes running, she always carries a "small knife."

““It’s pretty extreme, but in this case, it worked to her advantage. "She was prepared, she took steps to be prepared and then on top of it she fought back.”

Authorities in Salt Lake City are currently searching for the unidentified attacker who is thought to be between the age of 15 and 30. Police described him as a white man of about 10 stone with multiple knife wounds on his legs, arms, and chest.
