Kate Middleton made a long-awaited appearance outside St Mary's Hospital this evening, showing off her new daughter to the world for the first time.
The baby was born shortly after 8.30am this morning and the couple emerged from the Lindo Wing this evening at 6.10pm.
While they did not stop to talk to the gathered crowds, Kate looked beautiful in a yellow and white Jenny Packham dress, just 12 hours after she arrived at the hospital this morning.
The name chosen for the new Princess Of Cambridge has yet to be announced.
