Kate Middleton gave an upsetting admission when asked about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Princess Lilibet was born on June 4, 2021, in California, just a year after Prince Harry and Meghan cut ties with the royal family and moved across the pond.
It wasn't long after the move that Harry and Meghan sat down with the one and only Oprah Winfrey, where they opened up about the alleged mistreatment the couple, more specifically Meghan, had undergone as a result of both the British royal family and the ruthless tabloid press.
During that interview, several allegations surfaced, including one where Kate had brought Meghan to tears over a fallout regarding bridesmaids' dresses.
Meghan said: "A few days before the wedding [Kate] was upset about the flower girl dresses and it made me cry," adding that Kate later did apologise.
Meghan went on to explain how she felt during that time, saying: "When I joined that family, that was the last time until we came here that I saw my passport, my driver's licence, my keys, all that gets turned over."
She even went as far as to say that she 'didn't want to be alive anymore', showcasing how severe her mental health struggles were at the time.
"I went to the institution and I said that I needed to go somewhere to get help, said I had never felt that way before and needed to go somewhere, and I was told that I couldn't, that it wouldn't be good for the institution," she added, per The BBC.
Even after the move, the tensions within the royal family grew.
Shortly after Lilibet's birth, Kate was asked by a reporter if she had any wishes for her new niece.
The Princess of Wales replied: "Oh, I wish her all the very best.
"I can't wait to meet her because we haven't yet — met her yet.
"So, hopefully, that'll be soon," Kate added, per The Mirror.
The reporter further pried: "Have you FaceTimed with her?"
To which Kate replied: "No, I haven't. No."
At the time, Kate was praised for her poised response to a question that she 'wasn't ready for'.
It has never been officially confirmed if Kate and William have met Lilibet, however, it is believed that King Charles met his granddaughter at the late Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
