Killer Ian Huntley allegedly wants to transition from male to female

A former cellmate of Ian Huntley has reported that the killer wants to undergo a sex change operation.

According to the Daily Star, Huntley plans to request the procedure and a move to a women’s prison in order to escape life in HMP Frankland in Durham.

Huntley is currently serving a 40-year sentence for the murders of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in 2002. The school girls were only 10-years-old at the time.

According to Huntley’s former cellmate, Huntley faces daily death threats and assaults and thinks the only escape is to transition. Under the NHS, offenders must pass rigorous psychological tests to show they genuinely want to transition and are not just looking for special treatment.

The former inmate told the Daily Star that Huntley is one of the most hated offenders in the prison.

“There are a lot of bad people in Frankland Prison but Huntley is one of the worst. He knows he’s a marked man while he’s in Frankland and he believes his only hope of a cushy life is to become a woman.”
