Last night, heavy rain, and thunder and lightning led to major flash flooding across Donegal and Derry.
The severe weather conditions left over 500 homes without power in north Donegal and a further 600 with no electricity across Northern Ireland.
RTE has reported that the flooding began in Donegal and eventually moved its way into Derry.
Up to 60 floods reports were received by emergency services last night after 7pm.
