At least 115 killed in bomb and gun attack in Egyptian mosque

Militants in four vehicles opened fire on the worshippers.

At least 115 people have been killed in a bomb and gun attack in a mosque in Egypt today.

Local news has reported that dozens more were injured in the attack on the al-Rawdah mosque in Bir al-Abed.

The Guardian reports that “militants” in four vehicles approached the mosque as prayers were finishing.

They then opened fire at worshippers.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has called an emergency meeting.
