End of an era.

Aussie rockers AC/DC are expected to hold a press conference tomorrow to confirm the band’s retirement after 40 years.

Rumours over the future of the Highway To Hell musicians have been growing steadily over the course of the day, with many outlets reporting that the band are set to abandon plans for a new album and instead put an end to their prolific career.

An article published last night by Sydney blogger Darryl Mason has claimed that the shock decision follows tragic news that founding member and rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young suffered a stroke three weeks ago. Mason reports that the 61-year-old has been left with a blood clot on his brain and is no longer able to play as he used to.

The AC/DC camp have yet to comment on any of the rumours but are expected to confirm the split tomorrow.
