Lidl customers have been urged not to eat the store's Deluxe Stuffed Dates due to the presence of Salmonella.
An urgent food safety recall has been issued.
The Food Safety Authority Ireland warned customers not to eat the affected product and to discard it.
The affected batch code is 21301/196 with a best before date of January 21st, 2022.
The FSAI warned that customers who eat the affected product could be infected with Salmonella.
Salmonella can trigger severe gastrointestinal symptoms.

Lidl asked customers to return the product to the store. They will be given a full refund, with or without a receipt.
Thankfully, no other Deluxe products have been affected by this recall, Lidl shared.
Lidl has apologised for any inconvenience caused.
People infected tend to develop symptoms within 12 and 26 hours. However it can range from 6 to 72 hours, it warned.
The most common symptom is diarrhoea, which can sometimes be bloody.
Other symptoms may include fever, headache and abdominal cramps.
The symptoms tend to last between 4 and 7 days.
FSAI warned that diarrhoea can occasionally be severe enough to require hospital admission.
The elderly, infants and those with impaired immune systems are more likely to have a severe illness.
