One player in Ireland struck it rich in the EuroMillions last night, where the main draw’s jackpot was worth a staggering €17,000,000.

And while nobody won the top prize, someone in Ireland did strike it rich in the EuroMillions Plus draw.

The lucky player won €500,000, becoming the sixth winner of the EuroMillions Plus jackpot in 2019.

The numbers that came up in the EuroMillions plus draw were 5, 16, 41, 47 and 50.

The lucky Quick Pick ticket was sold yesterday [March 19] at Circle K on the Beaumont Road in Dublin 9.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery said:

“It has been a blistering start to the year for our EuroMillions players in Ireland.

“This is the 6 top prize win of €500,000 in the EuroMillions Plus game on top of the record breaking €175 million jackpot which was won by a lucky North Dublin family in February.

“We are encouraging anybody who purchased their ticket at the Circle K service station in Beaumont to carefully check their ticket and if it is the winner, be sure to sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team on 01 836 4444 and we will make arrangements for you to claim your prize.”

The news comes a few weeks after a family syndicate won €175 million in the EuroMillions.

The winning ticket for the February 19 draw was purchased at Reilly’s Daybreak in Naul, Dublin.

A spokesman said at the time:

“This is fantastic news not only for the winner but for the lucky shop that sold the ticket.

“And we are delighted for Naul which is a small community.”

The lucky winners took home a cheque of €175,475,380. The sum is the biggest jackpot ever claimed by a ticket holder in Ireland.

To date, there have been more than a dozen Irish winners of the EuroMillions jackpot.
