If you were devastated to miss out on the old-school nostalgia of Mark McCabe at Electric Picnic, you’re in luck.

Celebrating their 20th anniversary, Irish electro-pop pioneers 4 Rhythm have decided to celebrate their monster tune’s 20th anniversary at the next homage to Red Records which takes place at Tivoli Theatre on Saturday, November 14th.

4 Rhythm, established by Simon Fitzpatrick, originally headlined the Point Theatre as part of the Red Records all-stars line-up in June 1995.

The group were best known for their cover version of Michael Sembello’s Maniac – where layered rap lyrics over the chorus vocal of Shelley Bukspan.

Their cover version of Michael Sembello’s Maniac — which inserted rapped lyrics alongside the soaring chorus vocal of Shelley Bukspan — became an Irish top 30 hit and a massive airplay success.

Mark McCabe’s unbelievably catchy dancefloor anthem topped the charts back in 2000 and thanks to a radio campaign from 2FM’s The Nicky Byrne Show, the track returned to number one in the Irish charts in March.

Joining 4 Rhythm onstage for their exclusive 20th anniversary performance of Maniac at the Tivoli Theatre are Dream Frequency, who scored two huge rave hits in the early 90s with Feel So Real and Take Me.

Early bird tickets are on sale now, and cost just €15.
