Talks are Imminent

There may be an end coming to the current Luas strike.

The Workplace Relations Commission have invited Transdev and the Luas drivers to talks tomorrow.

The WRC urged Transdev not to hire private coaches to compensate for the planned St. Patrick’s Day strike.

RTÉ report that the reintroduction of the drivers back into talks may put strike action on hold.

The WRC stated: “In order to create a climate of positivity to these engagements and without prejudice to the position of any party, the commission has requested the company to defer any alternative travel arrangements for Luas passengers on Thursday St Patrick’s Day.”

Talks will continue tomorrow as parties search for an amicable and fair solution.
