Some Luas red line services have been cancelled due to a technical fault

It looks like it could be a morning of delays.

Just as Met Éireann has warned motorists to be careful on the roads, Luas has issued a statement warning commuters that it's red line has been suspended between Blackhorse and The Point - in both directions - due to a technical fault. In a travel update on its website earlier today, the transport service said that it is operating between Tallaght/Saggart and Blackhorse only, while there is limited services running between Heuston and The Point.

"Technicians are on site working to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We expect this issue to continue for the next 2 - 3 hours. Please accept our apologies for any and all inconvenience caused." If you travel on the red line between Blackhorse and The Point, your Luas tickets will be valid to use on Dublin Bus until the technical fault has been fixed. There are no delays on the green line.
