Luas Will Be Providing Bus Transfers For Paddy’s Day Strike

Your Paddy's Day planning just got a little easier

Luas operator Transdev has confirmed it will be providing a bus service through the Red and Green line routes on St Patrick’s day.

RTÉ News report that Transdev (Luas’ parent company) will be sourcing independent bus operators through a broker to accomodate those who would be left without a mode of transport to get into the city centre for the parade celebrations.

SIPTU has described Transdev’s decision as ‘provocative’.

Prepaid Luas tickets and Leap cards will be accepted on this service.

Talks are resuming between Transdev and SIPTU are resuming without the drivers who are still unhappy with the rate of pay and working conditions.
