Dublin Airport has warned passengers that there will be delays throughout the entire airport this morning as the Irish air traffic management system had an “issue” meaning it was out of use for several minutes.

The airport tweeted about the matter saying: “An issue with the @IAApress radar system @DublinAirport means that flight operations have had to be temporarily suspended. We will continue to keep passengers updated with information via our social media channels & on our website.”

The radar system was out for about 40 minutes before it started working again.

Dublin airport further tweeted: “Flight operations have now resumed @DublinAirport following an earlier fault with the IAApress air traffic control radar system. There will be knock on delays due to the system outage.”

Many flyers have started to worry about how long they will be stuck in the airport for, however we’d say your best bet is to contact your airline as soon as possible.
