Delays throughout the day are to be expected.
Iarnród Éireann has issued a statement warning passengers to expect a major disruption to services today as there has been a “tragic incident” on the rail lines.
According to the transport service, emergency services are dealing with the accident which happened on the line between Sallins and Newbridge.

There are now buses being arranged for Portarlington, Portlaoise and Athy to Heuston, however delays will still ensue.
