The gunmen who attempted to kill Malala Yousafzai have been arrested in Pakistan.
Malala was shot in the head in 2012 and new reports today claim that the Pakistan army have arrested the men who were responsible for the attack.
The activist had been secretly writing a blog describing the struggles faced by girls trying to receive an education but when her identity was uncovered, a Taliban militia boarded her school bus and shot her at point blank range in the head.
Despite suffering serious injuries, the 17-year-old made a full recovery and has since become an international activist and campaigner, receiving the Tipperary International Peace Award last year.
