Man in his 20s in serious condition after Kerry collision

A man in his 20s has been left in a serious condition after he was involved in a single-vehicle collision in Co. Kerry yesterday morning.

Gardaí in Killarney are appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information regarding the serious road traffic collision that happened in Kilcummin, Co Kerry in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The collision involved one vehicle and occurred in the Buddihans area at approximately 4.10am. The man involved is aged in his 20s and was taken to Kerry University Hospital and his condition was described as serious.

The road was closed off yesterday as Garda Forensic Collision Investigators conducted a technical examination of the scene but has since been reopened.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have information in relation to this incident to contact them.

They are asking that anyone who may have seen a gold-coloured Toyota Yaris travelling in Kilcummin and surrounding areas to contact gardaí.

They are also asking that any road users who were travelling in this area between 4.00am and 4.50am, and may have camera footage to come forward to gardaí.
