His body was found by Dublin Inner City Helping Homeless (ICHH) workers on Adair Lane in Temple Bar at around 2am. It's believed it may have been there for several hours before being discovered.
The number of people sleeping outdoors in Dublin is on the rise, according to Anthony Flynn of ICHH.
There's been an "extremely high level of rough sleepers in Dublin alone over the past few weeks, with 160 (on Wednesday) night and 133 the night before," he told the Irish Times.
He said a lack of organisation was to blame.
"There is no system in place to take them off the streets. The staff and the facilities are there, but there is no co-ordination."
