A man has been arrested following a robbery of a cash-in-transit employee at Clarehall Shopping Centre this afternoon.
The man is said to have approached the cash-in-transit employee with an iron bar in his hand just after 12 noon.
The man escaped with the cash box to a waiting car.
Gardaí later arrested a 20-year old male during a follow-up operation. He is currently being detained at Coolock Garda Sation.
The car used in the robbery was found a short distance from the scene, but the cash box is still missing.
