Man arrested over 2018 disappearance of woman in Co Meath
Giedre Raguckaite was last seen in 2018.
A man has been arrested in connection with the 2018 disappearance of woman in Co Meath.
Giedre Raguckaite was last seen in May of 2018. She had arrived in Ireland from Lithuania in March of that year and lived in Drogheda until she was reported missing.
Gardaí today, Monday, arrested a man in connection with the disappearance. He is currently being detained at a Garda station in the midlands pursuant to a warrant under Section 42, Criminal Justice Act, 2006.
The man can be detained for up to 24 hours.
Giedre was last seen on the night of Tuesday, May 29 2018 at 11pm. She was being assisted into a house in Laytown, Co Meath by two men.
It is believed Giedre was last seen leaving the house early the next morning. She has not been seen or contacted her family since that time.
A renewed appeal for information regarding the case was issued last year.
