A man has been arrested in connection with an assault on a woman that occurred in St. Stephen's Green in Dublin on Tuesday (1 February).
At around 4.15pm, a woman in her 50s was assaulted and was taken to St James's Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
In a statement to JOE.ie on Wednesday, a Garda spokesperson said a man in his 30s is currently being detained at Pearse Street Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 in connection with the assault.
Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
