A man has died in Belfast

Conan Anderson has sadly passed away this weekend.

According to The Belfast Telegraph, a man has died after being assaulted in Belfast city centre last week.

On February 5th, Conan was attacked after a night out in Belfast’s city centre and was able to get home, however the next day his serious injuries became apparent.

Conan continued to deteriorate in hospital until Saturday 18th February, where he sadly died.

Detective Chief Inspector Peter Montgomery, who has opened a police investigation into the murder spoke of the crime.

“Conan tragically passed away on Saturday afternoon after being admitted to hospital with serious head injuries on the evening of Monday February 6.

 The matter was reported to police on Wednesday, February 8 and enquiries established that an incident had occurred in the early hours of Monday morning in the Arthur Lane area of Belfast.”

“A 27-year-old man was arrested in north Belfast on Thursday, February 9 on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and later released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
