Sad news on Sunday morning.
A man has died after collapsing at the Body & Soul music festival in Co. Westmeath.
The 31-year-old was taken to a medical tent on Saturday afternoon and tended to by staff – including an emergency doctor – but was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí are investigating it as ‘a non-suspicious sudden death’ and a post-mortem is set to be carried out at Mullingar Hospital on Sunday.

Avril Stanley, the director of the festival, says that her entire team is devastated by news of the man’s death.
“We wish to extend our deepest condolences to (the man’s family) at this time. We will continue to work closely with the gardaí on their investigation in this matter,” she said.
