Very sad.
A man has died following an incident in the chapel on the grounds of the University Hospital Limerick. Gardaí were called to the scene yesterday after a member of the public came across a man with gunshot wounds in the chapel.
The man, who is believed to be in his 60s, was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Gardaí are looking at CCTV cameras in the area and a forensic exam was done at the scene.

The Limerick Leader, the man, who is from Limerick, had been receiving treatment for a terminal disease at the hospital and was on the grounds for an appointment that day.
A post-mortem is due to be carried out today.
