A man's body was discovered in the early hours of this morning.
According to RTÉ News, the man's body, which has gunshot wounds, was found by a passerby on Hills Lane in the Crooksling area.
Shortly after 9am Gardai were called to the scene after the body was found. They believe the man was in his 20's.
The State Pathologist's office has been notified and the scene has been sealed off for further investigation.
Gardaí are appealing for more information and ask that anyone who was in the Hills Lane or Crooksling areas last night or this morning to contact Tallaght Garda Station on (01) 666 6000.
