A 36-year-old Indian man tortured his daughter’s alleged rapist to death on Friday night.

The father, furious over the alleged assault on his 14-year-old child, first lured the accused over to his home with an invitation for dinner.

After the pair ate, the younger man tortured his daughter’s alleged tormentor before surrendering himself to local police.

The 36-year-old burned the man’s genitals using heated tongs, before strangling him.

Police reports state that the man said his victim raped the man’s daughter two months ago, after calling to the house in his capacity as a medicine supplier and finding the teen home alone.

Protest Against Crime In Gurgaon

In August, Gurgaon citizens protested against Gurgaon police over the rape and murder of eight-year-old girl.

He added that her alleged assailant threatened her with dire consequences if she told anyone what happened. Though his daughter did tell him straight away, while in custody the man said he did not approach police at the time as he was fearful of a “bad name” for his daughter. He further believed that neighbours, friends and family would somehow blame his young child.

According to The Indian Express, an officer said: “The father called the medicine supplier over to his house saying he wanted to discuss some issue. He served him dinner. After the meal, the father overpowered the man and tied him to a chair. He got heated tongs and burned the supplier’s genitals before strangling him to death. He came to the police station and surrendered himself.”

“Based on his statement, we sent a team to the spot and recovered the body. It has been sent for a post-mortem examination and his family has been informed. A case of murder has been registered and the 36-year-old man was arrested.”
