Man kicked off plane for trying to enter cockpit to charge his phone

A man was kicked off a a plane for trying to enter the cockpit to charge his phone.

The passenger was traveling on a IndiGo flight from Mumbai for Kolkata when he tried to access the cockpit with the intention of charging his phone before takeoff.

It is believed that he was a drunk first time flyer.

Press Trust of India reports that the man was then removed from the flight before takeoff.

In a statement, the airline said:

“While an IndiGo aircraft being on the ground an unruly passenger tried to enter the cockpit stating that his mobile needs to be charged.

“Following standard operating procedures the captain … initiated the offloading of the passenger on grounds of security violation.”

The man was arrested and later released without charge.

He did not get to charge his phone.
