Northern Irish man killed on stag party in Liverpool

He was hit by a car in the late hours of Friday night.

According to the Liverpool Echo, a 24-year-old man from Northern Ireland was hit by a car on The Strand near the Hilton Hotel at around 11:40pm on Friday night.

The man was believed to have been visiting Liverpool for a stag party with friends when the incident occurred.

People near the accident attended to the young man and witnesses said that the driver of the car sped off southbound away from the city centre.

Paramedics arrived on the scene and gave the victim first aid before taking him to the Royal Liverpool Hospital where he was pronounced dead at around 2:30am.

Police officers have said that they have identified the man and have informed his next of kin.
