Man’s ear bitten off at Donegal International Rally

The incident happened in Carrigart, Donegal.

A man has reportedly had his ear bitten off while attending the Donegal International Rally.

The rally takes places annually from 17 – 19 June and according to The Irish Timesthe amount of crimes committed at the 2016 motoring rally doubled since last year.

One victim of the crimes was a young man who had a section of his ear bitten off in Carrigart.

Following a fight in the Gaeltacht village, the motoring fan was rushed to Letterkenny University Hospital for treatment of his injury.

It has not been yet confirmed if An Garda Síochána arrested the perpetrator of the assault.
