A family from Mayo have been confirmed as the lucky recipients of a €15m Euromillions windfall.
The winner bought their €6 QuickPick ticket at Staunton’s Costcutter Express in Castlebar prior to the April 1st draw and picked up a cheque for €15m last week. According to Newstalk, they have yet to decide what to do with their winnings but admitted that it would be “lifechanging”.
“We have been playing EuroMillions for a number of years now and have won small prizes, but this win is definitely life-changing,” said the family.
“Since we realised we are the winners, we’ve been coming to terms with the news, but it’s almost overwhelming.”
