A woman in her 70s has been killed in a house fire in Co. Mayo.
The tragic death occurred at approximately 2.30pm when a blaze ripped through the 78-year-old woman’s home in Laughtavarry, Ballyvary but the circumstances surrounding the fire are unknown as yet. A forensic examination of the scene is being carried out this evening and the woman’s identity will not be released until all family members have been contacted.
