McDonald’s have been ordered to pay a fine after selling a burger containing a mouse tail.

According to reports, the appeals court in Chile upheld a ruling ordering the fast-food chain to pay out approximately €3,000 plus an additional fine.

The ruling is apparently intended to reflect the failure of McDonald’s in terms of its quality of service and quality control.

Following the incident which took place in June 2012, health authorities did temporarily close the branch which is located in Temuco.
