This comes after weeks of speculation around the Duchess's due date with many royal sources suggesting that Meghan might have already given birth in secret.
Meghan and Harry announced that they were expecting their first child late last year.
The pair, who married over the summer in St George's Chapel, said recently that they wanted to keep the the birth of their first child private, describing it as a "personal decision."
The couple went on to say that the news would be shared with everyone once they had the chance to celebrate "privately as a new family."
It is fairly likely that fans of royals and royal babies alike will be waiting a few days following the birth for official photos of the newborn.
Unlike the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Harry and Meghan will not be posing outside the maternity ward steps hours after their child is born.
Rather, it is probable that they will share photos of the child on their own Instagram account. The thrilling new Irish novel you won’t be able to put down
