Met Éireann is giving us hope ahead of next weekend

Carl Kinsella

It’s only Monday, and Saturday still seems a long way away…

But they don’t pay the professional meteorologists at Met Éireann for nothing, and right now it sounds like there’s good news on the cards for next weekend.

Both Friday afternoon and Saturday are slated to be warm, sunny, dry days — which pretty much matches up with what we’ve come to expect of our weekends for the last couple of weeks.

The coming week is set to be pretty good too, with temperatures of 13-18 degrees hitting us on Tuesday, and staying in the mid-teens for Wednesday and Thursday — “dry days with good sunny periods.”

This spells good news for Rolling Stones fans who’ll be seeing the band play live in Croke Park on Thursday night.

Luckily, it doesn’t look like the decent weather will be shot to pieces by the weekend either. According to Met Éireann‘s latest forecast: “At the moment Saturday looks mainly dry with sunny spells and temperatures of 16 to 19.”

Friday looks “mostly dry and bright also, just perhaps a little rain in the west and North. Temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees in the afternoon.”

Unfortunately, as with all good things, the end will come — and Met Éireann is forecasting rain for Saturday night and Sunday.
