It may be July but we all know that’s no guarantee of good weather in Ireland…
Met Éireann has issued a national weather warning, with strong winds expected to hit the country until 9pm tonight.
The forecaster has advised that the brunt of the wind will hit Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Sligo and Clare, with west to southwest winds of with gusts of 90 to 110km/h expected in the northwest during Friday afternoon and evening.
Further heavy downpours are also on the cards, although there was some good news for those headed for Longitude as the east is expected to escape the worst of the inclement weather.
