We all felt it this morning.

The weekend was joyful with sunny spells and blue skies - it absolutely lashed too but that can be forgiven since most of the weekend was dry. However, this morning is a totally different story, with people whipping back out their winter woollies because it is cold. It's about 7 degrees right now, which is the coldest it has been in a while. However, Met Éireann believe that it will pick up throughout the day, with temperatures rising to 19 degrees.

The weather forecaster said: "Largely dry today with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. The cloud will be thickest across the western half of the country and there is the chance of a few light showers here. Top temperatures ranging from 14 to 19 degrees, warmest in the south and east where the sunny spells will be lengthiest. Winds mostly light, north to northwest in direction." While tonight we'll see: "The chance of a little patchy rain across Ulster and north Connacht overnight but dry elsewhere with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Winds mostly light and variable. Minimum temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees." We're just hoping it stays warm for a little while longer!
