Temperatures today (March 30) will be “above average” for March, Met Éireann has said.
Yesterday saw highs of 17.5 degrees in some parts of the country as the sun finally arrived and the chill held off. Although much of the day was mired by rain and a good few clouds, the heat was there in Leinster, and that can only be a sign of good things to come.
Elsewhere in the country, temperatures of 13 degrees were recorded too, and it looks like today is going to be even nicer.
Met Éireann said that temperatures today will be “above average” for some parts of the country again, adding that the highest temperature recorded yesterday was 17.5 degrees in the Phoenix Park.
“The highest air temperature recorded so far today at one of our weather stations was 17.5c in the Phoenix Park!” they said.
“Temperatures tomorrow will be above average for many areas once again. Here are average maximum & minimum air temperatures for March and April.”
The most sunshine recorded yesterday was at Dublin Airport.

Today will be most dry apart from “patchy drizzle in the north and west.”
They added: “Good sunshine will develop through the morning and afternoon, staying rather cloudy though in the west and north. Highs of 15 to 18 degrees over Munster and Leinster and 12 to 16 degrees over Connacht and Ulster.”
As long as the wind stays away lads, we’re golden.
