According to Met Eireann, your weekend weather forecast is set to be VERY grim

Sick...

Storm Dennis is coming, and we are IN for it this weekend lads!

According to our pals at Met Eireann:

Friday night will be dry at first with clear spells, cloud will thicken with outbreaks of rain developing, turning heavy by morning on the west coast. Temperatures will be between 3 and 5 degrees with a strong southerly wind.

Saturday will be a wet and windy day with strong southerly winds and widespread heavy rain bringing a risk of flooding. Temperatures during the day will reach 7 to 11 degrees and will fall overnight to between plus 1 and plus 3 degrees as the rain breaks up somewhat and skies clear. There'll be showers through the night.

On Sunday storm Dennis will keep the strong southwest to west wind going. It will turn cold with daytime maximum temperatures of 4 or 5 degrees with showers turning wintry along western coastal areas, further east will stay mostly dry. Later on a spell of more persistent rain or sleet, with occasional snow on hills and mountains will pass west to east over the country.

Monday continues windy with the westerly winds bringing further showers on the western coastal counties, it'll be mainly dry with sunny spells further east.

The further outlook in to midweek is for continued breezy conditions with westerly winds bringing showers to the west with the best of the sunny spells in the east.
